About

3-Iron follows Tae-suk, a solitary young drifter who breaks into temporarily unoccupied homes, not to steal, but to inhabit them briefly while their owners are away. He performs small domestic tasks, repairs broken objects, and leaves each house as he found it. His unusual routine changes when he enters the home of Sun-hwa, a woman trapped in an abusive marriage. Recognizing her unhappiness, Tae-suk takes her with him, and the two begin moving from one empty house to another, forming an intimate bond through silence and shared experience. Their unconventional existence is disrupted when they are discovered, setting in motion a series of events that lead Tae-suk toward imprisonment and an increasingly surreal attempt to remain connected to Sun-hwa. Blending romantic tenderness with psychological ambiguity, the film explores loneliness, domestic violence, alienation, and the fragile boundary between physical reality and the invisible worlds people create for themselves.
