About

I'm a Cyborg, But That's OK centers on Young-goon, a young woman who believes she is a cyborg rather than a human being. After being admitted to a psychiatric institution, she refuses to eat ordinary food, convinced that she must recharge herself with electricity and communicate with machines. Her unusual beliefs reflect a deeply personal inner world shaped by emotional distress and her memories of her grandmother. At the hospital, Young-goon encounters Il-soon, a fellow patient who has a habit of stealing other people's characteristics and behaviors. Fascinated by her, he attempts to help her regain her strength without forcing her to abandon her belief that she is a machine. As their relationship develops, the two create an intimate world of fantasy, eccentric rituals, and mutual understanding, finding ways to care for each other despite their psychological struggles.
