About
Julián, a reserved and conventional radiologist, encounters his childhood friend Pablo, an adventurous man who has recently married Elena, a beautiful and independent woman. Julián becomes intensely fascinated by Elena, whose appearance and free-spirited personality awaken memories of a mysterious woman he once saw playing drums during a religious festival in Calanda. Although Elena shows little romantic interest in him, Julián remains consumed by his desire for her. Turning his attention to Ana, his shy and devoted nurse, Julián attempts to transform her into Elena’s image, controlling her appearance and behavior in an effort to recreate the woman he idealizes. As his obsession deepens, the boundaries between desire, fantasy, and reality begin to collapse, leading toward a disturbing conclusion that exposes the darker impulses beneath his outwardly respectable existence.
