Juan, a sixteen-year-old boy who crashes his family’s car into a telephone pole in a small town in Yucatán, Mexico. Wandering through the streets in search of a replacement engine part, he encounters a succession of eccentric characters, including Don Heber, an elderly mechanic, and David, a young martial-arts enthusiast who works at an auto repair shop. He also meets Lucía, a young woman whose passion for rock music offers him a tentative connection beyond his immediate troubles. As Juan moves from one repair shop to another, his seemingly straightforward mission becomes an unexpected journey through the rhythms of ordinary life. Gradually, it becomes clear that his aimless wandering is also an attempt to avoid returning home, where his family is struggling with the recent death of his father. Through his encounters with strangers, Juan begins to confront his grief and the emotional distance that has grown between him and his family.
