Fernando Eimbcke
Fernando Eimbcke (born 1970) is a Mexican director, one of the more distinctive voices of the so-called New Mexican Cinema. Trained at the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos in Mexico City, he has built a body of work characterized by deadpan humour, minimalist plotting, and intense attention to adolescent and small-town life. His acclaimed films include Duck Season, Lake Tahoe, Club Sandwich, and Olmo.
