Subway is a 1985 French thriller film directed by Luc Besson and starring Isabelle Adjani and Christopher Lambert. The film is part of the cinéma du look movement. The film follows Fred, a charismatic thief who steals sensitive documents from a wealthy businessman and hides in the Paris Métro after fleeing his pursuers. As he navigates the underground world, he befriends a group of eccentric outcasts and falls in love with the businessman's wife, Héléna. While evading both criminals and police, Fred forms a band and organizes a concert in the metro. The film ends tragically when he is shot by Héléna's husband's associate just as she rushes to reunite with him.
