Tomu Uchida
Tomu Uchida (1898–1970) was a Japanese film director known for his versatility and visual storytelling. Beginning his career during the silent film era, he directed films across many genres, including crime dramas, historical epics, and literary adaptations. After spending several years in China following World War II, he returned to Japan and created some of his most acclaimed works, such as Bloody Spear at Mount Fuji (1955) and The Mad Fox (1962). Today, Uchida is regarded as one of Japan's most accomplished filmmakers, celebrated for his humanistic themes and distinctive cinematic style.
