Cary Joji Fukunaga
Cary Joji Fukunaga (born 1977) is an American director, screenwriter, and cinematographer of Japanese-Swedish descent. Trained at NYU's Tisch School, he established himself with the Spanish-language Sin Nombre, set among Central American migrants en route to the United States, before moving across television and feature production. He directed the entirety of the first season of HBO's True Detective and the James Bond feature No Time to Die. His acclaimed work includes Sin Nombre, Jane Eyre, True Detective (television), Beasts of No Nation, Maniac (television), and No Time to Die.
