Description

In the port of Marseille, during a stopover, a group of sailors enters a bar; they are soon joined by girls with whom they party. One of the sailors, Militis, recognizes Sarah (the wife of the bar owner), whom he once loved. The two chat, recalling their past loves, and then they mingle with the other dancers under the suspicious eye of the owner. Militis is married to a young Asian woman, who is bothered by one of the bar's customers, and when he tries to defend her, this provokes a general brawl between the sailors and the customers. Militis is killed by the owner during the brawl. Everyone leaves the bar except Sarah, who remains in tears near Militis's body. The police take her away, believing her guilty.
