Wolfgang Petersen

Wolfgang Petersen (1941–2022) was a German director who established his international reputation with the submarine feature Das Boot before moving to Hollywood. His acclaimed films include Das Boot, The NeverEnding Story, In the Line of Fire, Outbreak, Air Force One, The Perfect Storm, Troy, and Poseidon.
