Volker Schlöndorff, Margarethe von Trotta

Volker Schlöndorff (born 1939) and Margarethe von Trotta (born 1942) were a German director couple from the late 1960s until the early 1990s, when they divorced. They co-directed The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum, an adaptation of the Heinrich Böll novel.
