Vincente Minnelli
Vincente Minnelli (1903–1986) was an American director, one of the central figures of the classical Hollywood musical at MGM and an accomplished director of melodrama. He won the Academy Award for Best Director for Gigi. His acclaimed films include Cabin in the Sky, Meet Me in St. Louis, The Clock, The Pirate, Father of the Bride, An American in Paris, The Band Wagon, Some Came Running, Gigi, and Some Came Running.
