Vilgot Sjöman
Vilgot Sjöman (1924–2006) was a Swedish director and screenwriter, one of the central figures of postwar Swedish cinema. After working as an assistant to Ingmar Bergman, he established his own reputation with a series of features that confronted Swedish sexual mores. His two-part I Am Curious (Yellow / Blue) became internationally notorious as a censorship test case in the United States. His acclaimed films include The Mistress, 491, My Sister, My Love, I Am Curious (Yellow), I Am Curious (Blue), and Linus or The Tale of the Pink Sheath.
