Toshiya Fujita
Toshiya Fujita (1932–1997) was a Japanese director associated with the youth-genre and exploitation cinema of late 1960s and 1970s Nikkatsu studios. He worked as an assistant under directors including Kō Nakahira and Seijun Suzuki before turning to direction. He is best remembered today for the two Lady Snowblood features that inspired Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill. His acclaimed films include Stray Cat Rock: Wild Jumbo, Stray Cat Rock: Sex Hunter, Lady Snowblood, Lady Snowblood 2: Love Song of Vengeance, and The Murder of the Inugami Clan.
