Toshio Matsumoto

Toshio Matsumoto (1932–2017) was a Japanese director, one of the central figures of postwar Japanese avant-garde and experimental cinema. His feature Funeral Parade of Roses is widely regarded as a masterpiece of Japanese queer and experimental cinema. His acclaimed films include Funeral Parade of Roses, Pandemonium, Dogura magura, and dozens of experimental shorts.
