Sun Zhou

Sun Zhou (born 1954) is a Chinese director associated with the so-called middle generation of Chinese filmmakers who emerged between the Fifth and Sixth generations. Trained at the Beijing Film Academy, he produced a body of work that engages with contemporary Chinese society. His acclaimed films include Heartstrings, Breaking the Silence, Zhou Yu's Train, and Bing Lin.
