Stanisław Różewicz

Stanisław Różewicz (1924–2008) was a Polish director and a brother of the celebrated poet Tadeusz Różewicz, with whom he collaborated regularly. A graduate of the Łódź Film School, he became associated in the late 1950s with the Polish School filmmakers, although his understated, literary, and morally reflective sensibility set him somewhat apart from the more flamboyant figures of the movement. His acclaimed films include Three Women, The Birth Certificate, Voice from the Other World, Westerplatte, Glass Ball, Lynx, and Anxiety.
