Sara Gómez

Sara Gómez (1942–1974) was a Cuban director, the first woman director at the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) and one of the most important figures of post-revolution Cuban cinema. She died of asthma at thirty-one. Her acclaimed feature is De Cierta Manera (One Way or Another), the only feature she completed.
