Samira Makhmalbaf
Samira Makhmalbaf (born 1980) is an Iranian director, the daughter of the director Mohsen Makhmalbaf and a graduate of his Makhmalbaf Film House. She made her feature debut The Apple at seventeen. Her acclaimed films include The Apple, Blackboards (which won the Jury Prize at Cannes), At Five in the Afternoon, and Two-Legged Horse.
