Sam Wood

Sam Wood (1883–1949) was an American director who worked extensively in classical Hollywood. His acclaimed films include A Night at the Opera, A Day at the Races, Goodbye, Mr. Chips, Our Town, Kings Row, The Pride of the Yankees, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and Saratoga Trunk.
