Robert Z. Leonard
Robert Z. Leonard (1889–1968) was an American director, one of the most prolific contract directors of the MGM studio system. He directed dozens of features across the silent and sound eras, often built around major stars including Jeanette MacDonald and Greer Garson. His acclaimed films include The Great Ziegfeld (which won the Academy Award for Best Picture), Maytime, The Girl of the Golden West, Pride and Prejudice, and In the Good Old Summertime.
