Robert Wise, Jerome Robbins
Robert Wise (1914–2005) was an American director and editor and Jerome Robbins (1918–1998) was an American choreographer and stage director. They co-directed the 1961 musical West Side Story, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director for both of them. Their joint acclaimed film is West Side Story. Wise alone went on to direct The Sound of Music and many other classic American features.
