Robert Reinert
Robert Reinert (1872–1928) was a German director and screenwriter active in early German narrative and Expressionist cinema. He produced melodramatic and morally serious features in the 1910s and 20s, including the celebrated psychological feature Nerven, which engaged with the social and emotional wreckage of the immediate post-First-World-War period. His acclaimed films include Homunculus, Opium, Nerven, Sirocco, and The Yoshiwara Story.
