Robert Hamer

Robert Hamer (1911–1963) was a British director, one of the most distinctive figures of Ealing Studios in the late 1940s. His feature Kind Hearts and Coronets remains one of the canonical works of British comic cinema. His acclaimed films include It Always Rains on Sunday, Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Spider and the Fly, Father Brown, and The Long Memory.
