Robert Benton

Robert Benton (1932–2025) was an American director and screenwriter. He won the Academy Award for Best Director for Kramer vs. Kramer and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Places in the Heart. His acclaimed films include Bad Company, The Late Show, Kramer vs. Kramer, Places in the Heart, Nadine, Billy Bathgate, Nobody's Fool, Twilight, and The Human Stain.
