Richard Thorpe

Richard Thorpe (1896–1991) was an American director, one of the most prolific contract directors of the MGM studio system. He directed nearly 200 features across his career. His acclaimed films include Night Must Fall, Tarzan Escapes, Ivanhoe, Knights of the Round Table, Jailhouse Rock, and The Adventures of Quentin Durward.
