Raoul Walsh
Raoul Walsh (1887–1980) was an American director, one of the longest-active and most prolific figures of classical Hollywood. His career began in the silent era and continued through the early 1960s, and he produced major work across virtually every American genre — Westerns, crime, war, biography, musical. His acclaimed films include The Thief of Bagdad, What Price Glory?, The Big Trail, They Drive by Night, High Sierra, They Died with Their Boots On, White Heat, and The Naked and the Dead.
