Philippe Le Guay
Philippe Le Guay (born 1956) is a French director and screenwriter who has produced a steady run of intelligent, character-driven comedies and dramas since the 1980s. Trained at IDHEC, he often works with a recurring ensemble of French actors — including Fabrice Luchini and Sandrine Kiberlain — and his features have engaged with the moral textures of professional and class life in France. His acclaimed films include The Cost of Living, Three Friends, The Women on the 6th Floor, Bicycling with Molière, Florida, Normandie Nue, and The Man in the Basement.
