Pawel Pawlikowski

Paweł Pawlikowski (born 1957) is a Polish director and screenwriter who worked extensively in Britain before returning to Poland. He came up through BBC documentaries before turning to feature filmmaking. His feature Ida won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His acclaimed films include Last Resort, My Summer of Love, The Woman in the Fifth, Ida, and Cold War.
