Pablo Trapero
Pablo Trapero (born 1971) is an Argentine director, screenwriter, and producer, a central figure of the New Argentine Cinema. Trained at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires, he debuted with the gritty Crane World and has since produced a body of work characterized by long takes, observational realism, and a recurring focus on Argentine institutions — labour, the police, prisons, the medical system. He has also been a major producer of features by other directors. His acclaimed films include Crane World, El Bonaerense, Born and Bred, Carancho, Lion's Den, White Elephant, The Clan, and The Quietude.
