Đorđe Kadijević
Đorđe Kadijević (1933–2024) was a Serbian-Yugoslav director and screenwriter whose features and television films brought folk-horror and fantastic material into Yugoslav cinema. Trained in art history, he produced one of the genre's defining works in The She-Butterfly, a vampire feature drawn from rural Serbian folklore. His acclaimed films and television films include The Holy Sand, Death of Mr. Goluža, The Wreath, Devichi Most, and Leptirica (The She-Butterfly).
