Norman McLaren
Norman McLaren (1914–1987) was a Scottish-Canadian animation director, one of the most influential experimental animators in the history of cinema. He worked at the National Film Board of Canada from 1941, where he produced an extraordinary body of formal experiments in drawing on film, pixilation, and synthetic sound. His acclaimed films include Begone Dull Care, Neighbours (which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject), Blinkity Blank, Pas de Deux, and Lines: Horizontal.
