Nobuhiko Obayashi
Nobuhiko Obayashi (1938–2020) was a Japanese director, one of the most distinctive figures of postwar Japanese genre and experimental cinema. After a long career in commercials and experimental film, he turned to feature direction with the cult-favorite House (Hausu), an explosively creative haunted-house horror feature. His acclaimed films include House, I Are You, You Am Me, His Motorbike, Her Island, Beijing Watermelon, Casting Blossoms to the Sky, Seven Weeks, Hanagatami, and Labyrinth of Cinema.
