Mike Nichols
Mike Nichols (1931–2014) was a German-American director, comedian, and producer. After a celebrated career as a stand-up comedian and stage director, he turned to feature direction with Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and won the Academy Award for Best Director for The Graduate. His acclaimed films include Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Graduate, Catch-22, Carnal Knowledge, Silkwood, Working Girl, Postcards from the Edge, The Birdcage, Primary Colors, and Charlie Wilson's War.
