Masoud Kimiai

Masoud Kimiai (born 1941) is an Iranian director and screenwriter, one of the founding figures of the Iranian New Wave. Largely self-taught, he is best known for the seminal feature Qeysar, a touchstone of Iranian popular and arthouse cinema. His acclaimed films include Qeysar, The Deer, Reza Motori, Tigh va Abrisham, Sorb (Lead), and Soltan.
