Martin Zandvliet

Martin Zandvliet (born 1971) is a Danish director and screenwriter, one of the most internationally recognized Danish filmmakers of his generation. After early work as a documentarian, he turned to fiction features in the late 2000s. His war drama Land of Mine — about young German prisoners-of-war forced to clear Danish beaches of land mines in 1945 — was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. His acclaimed films include Applause, A Funny Man, Land of Mine, and The Outsider.
