Mariana Chenillo
Mariana Chenillo is a Mexican film director and screenwriter born in Mexico City in 1977. She is known for character-driven films that blend humor, emotional realism, and explorations of family and personal identity.Chenillo gained international recognition with Nora's Will (Cinco días sin Nora) (2008), a dark comedy-drama that won multiple Ariel Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, making her the first woman to win the Ariel Award for Best Director in Mexico. Her later films include Paradise (2013) and The Hours with You (2014).
