Lütfi Ö. Akad
Lütfi Ömer Akad (1916–2011) was a Turkish director, one of the founding figures of postwar Turkish cinema. His celebrated Migration Trilogy of features about Anatolian villagers moving to Istanbul shaped the social-realist current of 1970s Turkish cinema. His acclaimed films include In the Name of the Law, Hudutların Kanunu (The Law of the Borders), the Migration Trilogy (The Bride, Wedding, Blood Money), and Death-Mother.
