Luis Puenzo

Luis Puenzo (born 1946) is an Argentine director and screenwriter, one of the most internationally celebrated figures of post-dictatorship Argentine cinema. His feature The Official Story won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, the first feature from Latin America to do so. His acclaimed films include The Official Story, Old Gringo, The Plague, La Puta y la Ballena, and Wakolda.
