Luis Buñuel, Salvador Dali
Luis Buñuel (1900–1983) and Salvador Dalí (1904–1989) were a Spanish director and painter who collaborated on two of the founding works of cinematic surrealism. Their first collaboration Un Chien Andalou (1929) was constructed from a series of dream images deliberately stripped of rational connection; their second L'Âge d'Or (1930) added an overt political and anti-clerical attack. Their joint acclaimed films are Un Chien Andalou and L'Âge d'Or.
