Luigi Comencini

Luigi Comencini (1916–2007) was an Italian director, one of the central figures of postwar Italian popular cinema and the so-called rosa neorealism. The father of the director Cristina Comencini, he produced a long body of features across comedy, melodrama, and literary adaptation. His acclaimed films include Bread, Love and Dreams, La Finestra sul Luna Park, Misunderstood, La Ragazza di Bube, A Boy of Calabria, and The Adventures of Pinocchio (television).
