Lívia Gyarmathy

Lívia Gyarmathy (1932–2022) was a Hungarian director and screenwriter. Trained as a chemical engineer before turning to filmmaking, she produced a body of work that engaged with Hungarian women's lives and recent history. Her acclaimed films include Do You Know Sunday-Monday?, Coexistence, Recsk 1950-1953, and Why Were the Schwartz Sisters Killed.
