Lawrence Kasdan
Lawrence Kasdan (born 1949) is an American director and screenwriter, one of the central figures of New Hollywood storytelling in the late 1970s and 80s. He wrote celebrated screenplays for The Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Return of the Jedi before turning to direction. His acclaimed films include Body Heat, The Big Chill, Silverado, The Accidental Tourist, Grand Canyon, and Wyatt Earp.
