Kristian Levring
Kristian Levring (born 1957) is a Danish director and screenwriter, one of the four signatories of the Dogme 95 manifesto. Trained at the National Film School of Denmark, he worked extensively as a commercials director before turning to feature filmmaking. His Dogme feature The King Is Alive — a desert-set reworking of King Lear — remains his best-known work. His acclaimed films include A Shot from the Heart, The King Is Alive, The Intended, Fear Me Not, and The Salvation.
