Kovács András

András Kovács (1925–2017) was a Hungarian director and screenwriter, one of the most politically engaged figures of postwar Hungarian cinema. He served as the chairman of the Hungarian Filmmakers' Union and as a member of the Hungarian Parliament. His acclaimed films include Cold Days, Walls, Blindfold, A Different Way, and Falfúrók.
