Kornél Mundruczó
Kornél Mundruczó (born 1975) is a Hungarian director, screenwriter, and theatre director, one of the most internationally celebrated younger figures in contemporary Hungarian cinema. A graduate of the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest, he has produced a body of work characterized by ambitious visual conception, strong allegorical dimensions, and unusually animal-friendly casting — his feature White God famously employed a vast pack of unaccompanied stray dogs. His acclaimed films include Pleasant Days, Johanna, Delta, Tender Son: The Frankenstein Project, White God, Jupiter's Moon, and Pieces of a Woman.
