Koji Wakamatsu
Kōji Wakamatsu (1936–2012) was a Japanese director, one of the most provocative figures in postwar Japanese cinema. He directed dozens of features across the pink-film (Japanese soft-core), independent, and politically engaged cinema traditions, often dealing with radicalism, sexuality, and violence. His acclaimed films include Violated Angels, Go, Go, Second Time Virgin, Ecstasy of the Angels, United Red Army, Caterpillar, and 11.25 The Day He Chose His Own Fate.
