Klaus Härö

Klaus Härö (born 1971) is a Finnish director and screenwriter, one of the most internationally recognized figures in contemporary Finnish cinema. Trained at the University of Art and Design Helsinki, he is known for restrained, emotionally rich features about historical injustice, displaced children, and the moral questions raised by twentieth-century European history. His acclaimed films include Elina: As If I Wasn't There, Mother of Mine, The New Man, Letters to Father Jacob, The Fencer, and One Last Deal.
