Kiyoshi Kurosawa
Kiyoshi Kurosawa (born 1955) is a Japanese director and screenwriter, no relation to Akira Kurosawa, whose horror and crime features have made him one of the most internationally celebrated voices in contemporary Japanese cinema. Trained at Rikkyo University in Tokyo and active first in V-cinema (Japanese direct-to-video features), he refined a distinctive style of slow-burning dread built around empty industrial spaces, ghostly visitations, and unstable identity. His acclaimed films include Cure, Charisma, Pulse, Bright Future, Tokyo Sonata, Journey to the Shore, Creepy, and Wife of a Spy.
