Kelly Reichardt
Kelly Reichardt (born 1964) is an American director and screenwriter, one of the most internationally celebrated figures of contemporary American independent cinema. Trained at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, she produced her debut feature River of Grass in the early 1990s and then disappeared from feature filmmaking for more than a decade before returning with a series of patient, observational features about Pacific Northwest characters at the social and economic margins. Her acclaimed films include River of Grass, Old Joy, Wendy and Lucy, Meek's Cutoff, Night Moves, Certain Women, First Cow, and Showing Up.
